Luke’s Bio

Luke grew up in Columbia, Missouri in a Christian family he is very thankful for. He spent a lot of hours from ages 5-18 on the soccer field then hung up his cleats to study philosophy at the University of Missouri. After college he spent a year serving non-profit and missionary teams in Kenya. Luke met his wife, Janet, at a summer camp near Durango, CO where Luke led backpacking trips in the San Juan Mountains and Janet ran the camp clinic.

Luke then directed the high school ministry at The Crossing in Columbia, MO for 3 years before moving to the Chicago area to attend Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he received his Masters of Divinity. He then served as the campus pastor with Reformed University Fellowship at Northwestern University for 6 years. Luke is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America.

Luke’s Faves

All our family’s favorite things are right out our front door in the Roaring Fork Valley. We love skiing, cycling, running, hiking, snowshoeing, and any other way to play in the mountains. Luke loves a good book and a good cup of coffee – preferably together. His proudest accomplishments in life are convincing Janet to marry him (which was not easy as it turned out), raising four healthy, active kids, and climbing Mt. Kenya.
