Grace Church of the Roaring Fork Reopen Policies
Worship will look a little different as we reopen safely. The actions outlined below follow CDC guidelines and conform to local and state policies.
Of course, if you or anyone in your family is experiencing possible symptoms of the virus or have been in contact with someone with the virus in the past 14 days – please worship from home.
Seating & Masking
We will be practicing social distancing. When you arrive, sanitized seats that are safely spaced will already be set up inside the tent. Ushers will guide you to a group of seats for the size of your family. Please remain in those seats during the service.
Please wear a mask as you enter and exit the tent. Once you are in your seats, masks may be removed if you prefer at the 9am service. Please leave it in place throughout the entire 10:30am service. Please bring your own mask...but we will have a few available if you forget.
Communion & Offering
An individually packaged communion wafer and cup will be available to pick up when you enter the tent.
We will also not pass the collection plate, but will leave them at the entrance/exit so you can give your offering on your way in or out. Also, online giving is always available as well.
Children
We will not be offering Sunday School at this time. Families can sit together during worship and we will keep the service to an hour.
Singing
Some research suggests that singing could project aerosolized virus further than talking and possibly even farther than a cough or sneeze. Until we know more, for the sake of hospitality to everyone in our congregation, we ask that everyone be sensitive to this risk by masking while singing quietly or choosing not to sing at all during our hymns and other songs. Thanks for extending hospitality and love in this way. The worship team will still lead us in music and singing but will be significantly distanced from the congregation (25 feet away).
Bathrooms
There are porta-potties on sight and plenty of hand sanitizer.
Online Church
Finally, we recognize that not everyone will feel the same about attending a service at this time, even with the above safety measures in place. That is perfectly understandable and we will continue to post our worship services online. Look for an email Sunday afternoon with the full worship service video included, or check out our website where it will be posted as well.
Thanks for joining us on this always-evolving-COVID-adventure. We can't wait to see you and worship with you again!
In Christ,
